The Cub Cadet Volunteer 4x4D Utility Vehicle

Volunteer 4x4 by Cub Cadet

LOUISVILLE, Ky.– Today Cub Cadet, the leader in premium outdoor power equipment, announced the availability of the Cub Cadet Volunteer 4x4D utility vehicle. The Volunteer 4x4D combines the rugged simplicity and low maintenance of an 854cc, 3-Inline cylinder, Yanmar diesel engine with the advanced performance of a fully independent suspension. This combination makes it one of the only diesels that can handle both big jobs and off-road challenges.

“The work-play approach to UV product development has long been the industry’s gold standard,” said Aaron Hanlon, product manager, Cub Cadet. “Diesel vehicles have always had the working advantage with more torque, lower maintenance, and better fuel economy. Gas UVs, on-the-other-hand, have dominated the off-road market with long suspensions and smoother rides. We’ve combined both the best in diesel engines and a fully independent a-arm suspension with the Volunteer 4x4D to give customers the best of both worlds. Whether you’re a customer who earns a living outdoors, loves the outdoors – or both – this is a UV developed with you in mind.”

Outdoor enthusiasts will find that the fully independent suspension gives operators a full 8 inches of travel, up to 25 percent more than competing diesel UVs. Other inherent benefits to the Cub Cadet Volunteer platform include a wide stance, fully welded steel frame, and low center of gravity for stability, traction, and control. The unit will be available with high back seats, trail tires, heavy duty air filter, and a fully enclosed CVT transmission – providing a complete performance package.

For those seeking a workhorse UV, the Cub Cadet Volunteer 4x4D comes with more torque (36.9 ft.- lbs. at 2,400 rpm), more towing / payload capacity (1400 lbs) and optional “big job” equipment, including:

ELECTRIC BED LIFT – push-button operation makes it easier and more convenient to get jobs done
HEAVY-DUTY BED LINER – heavy-duty molded bed and tailgate liner protects the bed from scratches and wear
72″ SUPER-DUTY SNOW BLADE – angles up to 28 degrees, has heavy-duty skid shoes and four adjustable springs
DELUXE HARD CAB – fully enclosed cab with tip-out windshield, sliding windows, quick-release doors, wiper, lights, and mirror
BENCH SEAT – comfortably fit two people for efficiency out on the job

Competitively priced with an MSRP of $10,599, the Cub Cadet Volunteer 4x4D is covered by a two-year warranty and available in Cub Cadet Yellow and Olive Green. Cub Cadet also offers a 4×2, 4×4, and 4×4 EFI gas models.
