Awards Published December 22, 2000
With 2000 Coming to a close as a
year with new models offered from many tractor manufactures, we set
out to pick the top tractors in each popular horsepower class, and
also to find the best tractor we could, the TractorByNet.com Tractor of the
Year.
Picking a winner in each category
was no easy task. Our selection panel's considerations were a careful analysis of many
factors, including: a detailed survey of remarks made by the 25,000+
monthly visitors to the
TractorByNet.com discussion forums for the past eight months; online
polls and surveys; interviews with selected owners of the various
models; and interviews with dealers who have sold and serviced the
models throughout the United States, among other factors.
No manufacturers were aware
that any of their models were under consideration, and there was no
contact of any kind between any manufacturer and our reviewers prior
to the awards. We feel our criteria were unbiased and our
independent evaluation enabled us to select the best tractor in each
category, and one overall, as well as the top dealer of the year.
Each winner will receive a
TractorByNet.com Awards 2000 Certificate, and be featured on this
site as 2000 year winners for years to come. Congratulations to all
winners!
