Posted 08/25/2004I purchased this tractor to use as a primary utility tractor on our farm. I also purchased a 60” Woods mower with this tractor to mow most of my yard as well as the pastures and around the barn. I have had the tractor for a month and I have mowed with the finish mower, mowed with a 5” brush cutter, Used a 12” post auger, Lifted 800lbs or more with a 3pt boom, Hauled 28” x 10’ logs out of the woods, raked hay and some other miscellaneous chores on the farm. I did not purchase the FEL at this time, but I plan to install one sometime next year.
I’m VERY pleased with this basic tractor. I had looked at several other brands and I was actually sold on a different tractor brand until I was told about Kubota’s reliability and efficiency by a co-worker who also owns a farm. The tractor has plenty of power and is easy to handle. It holds to the steep hill very well and is very strong.
My only cons are that I wish it had a rear hydraulic remote and a toolbox. I also had some issues while trying to deal with my local Kubota dealers. I had to travel outside of my region to locate a replicable dealer who was willing to treat me like a customer. I know that this is not Kubota’s fault, but I thought that I would mention it.
All and all, I would rate this tractor a 9.5 out of 10. I have already recommended this unit to several other friends who have been looking for a CUT a little larger than the typical B series and did not want all the bells and whistles of the Grand series.
