Posted 10/01/2004I was intially very content with my BX2200 but after a 3+ years of ownership I am finding this tractor is ending up in the shop many times a year. First, I have had the hydraulic fluid line punctured twice. The first time cost me 500+ to repair. They take apart the whole engine. It also happened a second time. It is not well protected under the tractor. Second, my mower deck kept popping of the pins. The dealer fixed this because it is a defect in the product. Now, I have an electrical relay problem where my lights, turn signal won't turn off when the tractor is on. This has happened twice. After getting the vehicle repaired in the shop, the fuses for the control panel went out after 2 minutes of mowing. The dealer wants to charge me for this. Also had deisel fuel leak under the fender well. This is a known problem (Service Bulletin issued) and will be covered if your tractor is under warranty. Mine isn't but this cost me $200+ to get fixed. If you have one of these tractors it is just a matter of time before this happens. My tractor has less than 300 hours and is only used for mowing. I have spent close to $2000 for maintenance and repairs from the dealership and I haven't owned this tractor for 4 years yet. This is very frustrating. I thought I was buying a quality product from Kubota. I don't think I would buy this product again. Maybe they need some type of extended warranty plan.
