Posted 01/27/2005I purchased this tractor 4 months ago as the main tractor for our 63 acres. Our ground is rolling timber ground. The L3400 4wd with R4 tires and FEL is up to all the tasks I put it to. I have pushed out multifloral rose, built crossings across the creeks, drug large logs from the timber and pushed snow. I have a box blade, woods 60 brush mower, king kutter finish mower, sickle mower, disk and a 3pt spreader. I have used it on hills and level ground and have not found a task I could not complete. I have 38 hours on the tractor. The tractor has ample power for all the tasks I put it through. The low center of gravity keeps me safe on the hills. I pulled a 30 inch diameter 20 foot long log up a steep hill and then hooked it to the loader and put on a trailer. The tractor runs quietly and the controls are convenient. I will continue to use the L3400 to clear the brush off of our farm. This will be a major task and the L3400 is up to it.
I have owned tractors in the past, but I think this is the best value for the money spent. All in all I believe this is a definite 5 out of 5. I would purchase another one with the same features if I had to do it again.
