Posted 01/29/2005I bought the tractor used in December of '04. It had 299 hours on it. I haven't had a lot of seat time with the weather not cooperating since I bought it. I have been very pleased so far. I have a 4ft brushhog, FEL, and a boxblade. I have used the brushhog some and mowed some winter weeds that were 2-3 ft tall with no trouble what so ever even at nearly full speed. The 3PH has no trouble at all lifting the 560lb hog even at idle. The only work I've put the FEL and boxblade through is simply digging up some dirt and smoothing it back out. I wanted to test everything and get a little practice before I use it on more important jobs. No problems with the FEL. It seems to dig quite well and it's strong for it's size. It is capable of lifting the rear of the tractor up. I haven't used the 3PH much for dirt spreading or digging. I've only spread back out areas that I dug with the FEL and to no surprise it did just fine.
I live in a mild climate. In the winter about the coldest it gets is the 20's. In the summer we see 90's and the 100's quite often. The tractor starts right up in cold or hot conditions. The engine temperature is always on the low side even when running it at PTO speed for long periods.
The B7300 is very easy to operate. The hydrostatic transmission is great for presicion work. The layout of levers, the seat, and the open flatform is nice. The only cons from an operators stand point is that is doesn't have power steering. However it is fairly easy to steer even at low speeds. This might just be a personal preference, but, I would rather have one pedal for forward and reverse. On the B7300 there are two seperate pedals and they are far enough away from each other to require you picking up your foot to move to the other pedal.
As I said, I haven't used it all that much, but so far I'm really pleased with it. The only thing I have had to replace was a headlight socket which was broken and would not stay in the fixture. Other than that all I've done was the required maintenance.
I will update or post a new review on the tractor this summer once I've put some more hours on it.
Date Purchased: 12/2004
Purchased: Used
Price Paid: US$4800
Pros: Well built, solid machine. Comfortable operator station, Small enough to use in most areas, Plenty of power considering the engine HP.
Cons: No power steering, not heavy enough to do larger tasks.
