Kubota Reviews / 2005 Kubota L3400 Tractor
Review by Niner from Boondocks, Georgia
Posted 12/23/2005

We purchased this little mule to help out with the myriad chores we have found we “have” to do on the little 45-acre tract we bought. Bought it with the FEL and also had the dealer install a heavy-duty toothbar who’s design protects the bucket’s cutting edge.

Chores we have used this tractor for…. Bushogging and clearing about 10 or so acres that were overgrown with blackberries and brambles. Hauled dirt to fill in an old well for safety’s sake. Hauled lumber scrapes from an old barn that was falling in. Moved rocks/lime/dirt/anything else that would fill up the bucket. Leveled out a spot for a new barn. Moved big stumps for new lake structure.

The only task that I have tried to do that it would not, was when I tried to lift a 6‘ tandem disc harrow with my boom pole to put it onto a small trailer. The disc was just a fuzz too heavy. Probably wasn’t a very good idea anyway.

We’ve had the tractor for 8 months, and have put 50 hours on it. And that’s just on the weekends! Need to do the 50 hour service soon.

When we first got this tractor, I thought it was “big”. Now that we’ve used it for a season, it almost seems small. The tractor is the perfect size for slipping through the woods….without being tooooo big.
