Posted 01/06/2006Just got the tractor and am just learning the ins and outs of the small tractor. If you have any "off road use" go with the next step up for the ground clearance. As for me, I have a whole 3/4 acre and this is obviously more than sufficient. I paid 12450 with loader and 60" deck. I have already found uses for the loader, I am turning my compost pile over and moving some brush and logs. This tractor obviously has more power than I will ever need. I will lose traction long before the engine will start to lug. I did engage the deck to see how noisy it is and am quite impressed that I don't really hear the deck. The fit and finish is great and the tractor is comfortable. I will be getting the grass catcher and this will constitute 98% of my use. I will get a rear snowblower then my outfit will be complete. Again, I can't see that I will ever need more power. I will repost in the spring when I get some seat time. Oh, by the way, my wife didn't quite understand the need for this, but I told her my 18 year old JD322 was getting tired and I didn't want repairs. So I figure I am good for about 3 more years before I need a new one.
