Kubota Reviews / 2005 Kubota B3030HSDC Tractor
Review by maaax from Spokane, Washington
Posted 02/25/2007

Overall - I am pretty impressed with this tractor. Have owned two John Deere and three Kubota tractors and this may well end up being my favorite of them all. It is very comfortable to spend long hours in (even considering the "cons" I mentioned above). I'm still breaking it in so haven't pushed it very hard yet. But - there is something really good about waking up at 3am and getting into that warm cozy cab to go plow snow. The air and heat controls are excellent on my tractor and I have no trouble keeping all the glass clear and dry on the inside. The cab allows maximum visibility all around the tractor with few blind spots.

I'm still figuring out how stable it will be on side hills. It feels a little tippy - but so far so good. I really enjoy the hydraulics of this machine. The controls are smooth and crisp and positioned in a very comfortable place just to your right. It does prevent easy entry and departure from the right side - but I never go out that way anyhow.

For a small tractor - this unit has a lot of big tractor features and the added comfort keeps us older guys working longer with less aches and pains to contend with at the end of the day. Now that is an important issue!

As an added note, the seat has a programable dial in shock absorber which greatly reduces the spine jarring jolts you can experience when operating on rough ground. I really like that little feature. Again, it may just be an old guy thing - but I have noticed I can actually walk instead of limp away from this machine at the end of the day.

The three point hydraulics are pretty darn precise and being able to dial in positions is great for rear blades and box scrapers.

In summary - I think it would be pretty darn hard to find a better machine for the money. That cab has renewed my interest in cold - hot and dusty work and as I have mentioned - I don't feel so "beat" at the end of the day.

Date Purchased: 2/2005
Purchased: New
Price Paid: US$22000
Pros:
Very responsive hydraulics - Plenty of power - Controls are convenient - love that cab!
Cons: Foot adjustmennt lever for tilt wheel in bad spot. Keep hitting it with my foot. The seat has a slight forward tilt that causes the operator to slide
