Kubota Reviews / 1998 Kubota L3010 Tractor
Review by Archive from n/a, New York
Posted 12/30/2001

Model: L3010
Author: Tom Bianco
Date: 10/19/99

I purchased an L3010HST Kubota tractor from the nearest local dealer Inland Kubota in Redlands, Ca. The unit came with an LA481 loader, and a GBS60R Gearmore box scraper. The dealer was great, they delivered the tractor to my door, showed me the controls, and didnt care about the time frame. The tractor was a pleasure to ride. The seat was far better to most of the models i've tried. It was well cushioned, really soaking up the bumps with adequate springs, and very adjustable. I'm 5-9, 180lbs. The HST tranny is a must. Smooth shifting, going up steep hills with a good size load in the bucket was no problem. Letting off the pedal was easy enough to allow the tractor to downshift, nothing herky jerky about the tranny, the loader was well balanced and didnt even hiccup as the tranny ran the gamut. Engine performance was excellent. I ran the tractor through all the ranges, low-medium-high. No problems encountered. I shoved the loader deep into the sand, scooped as much dirt as I could possibly get in the loader to make it grunt. Breakout force was admirable. Considering the fact that I ran the loader almost to the point of ramming into the sand, Motor grunted slightly, backed off the pedal power was up to full power a.s.a.p. Tractor tracked straight with a full load, power steering was a pleasure, I can turn this thing literally with one finger with a full bucket. I have done some grading with the boxscraper and it performs well. All the controls are easily accessible, the tilt wheel was nice to have. I noticed that right away, playing with the tilt and adjusting the seat I was able to get a really good feel in the seat. The only complaint I had about the tractor were the headlights. The bucket seems to have to be carried a little low to get the best performance out of the lights. The throttle seems a bit tight, but also I'm not sure I would have it any other way for safety reasons. All this coming from a guy who knows absolutely zero about tractors. I did stuff to this tractor that the least experienced guy would never try. If this can take my abuse it can certainly takes yours. I would recommend this tractor to any one. By and large the dealer experience also made the difference. I'm a salesman, and we heckled a bit, and I cant say enough about them.
