I purchased a new Kubota L35 TLB. I have only 25 hours on it. It appears to be a well designed and built machine.
The only complaints I have with the machine is the swivel seat and the exhaust system.
The seat is very difficult to operate and is not ergonomically designed. When operating the backhoe , you need to reach all the way toward the front of the seat mechanism to release the seat. The B21 is designed much better since the release lever travels with the seat.
Also, the exhaust system is designed in such a manner as the diesel exhaust fumes travel back towards the operator face.
I have contacted Kubota regarding this exhaust problem and they have a solution for the problem, however, one of the exhaust pipes costs $428.00. I was appalled to that price when the pipe could be purchased and fabricated yourself for less than $5.00. The dealer felt the same as I did about the price. I called Kubota regarding their pricing and received no satisfaction.
Kubota lost a sale for their lack of response and sensitivity to the problem. I was in the market for another piece of equipment during this period of talking to Kubota about this price problem. Too bad for Kubota!!
