I researched many tractors in the 45hp to 60hp range and every time came back to the Kubota. It was not only cost, but all around versatility, and excellent power range made my decision easier. I also purchased a LA1001 loader. A very user friendly piece of equipment. At 54hp, the M5400 can pull fully loaded grape totes on trailers up some very steep hills, with no power problems at all. The seat, w/arm rest is great, has easy to see and reach instrumentation. A very quiet operating diesel. I have everything from a 6' rotary mower,fertilizer spreader,HD 6'blade, and 60"rototiller. This tractor has no problem using all equipment, and does a good job with ease. I plan on purchasing one M5400 4x4, and one M8200 4x4 next winter. I am very impressed with Kubota, and have found a good dealer.
