John Deere Reviews / 1991 John Deere 770 Tractor
Review by zenmek from Stamping ground, Kentucky
Posted 01/10/2002

This tractor was mainly purchased to mow 5+ acres, it has a 60" MMM and has never given me any grief. Fuel usage is very good (a little less than 1 GPH @ full throttle while mowing). Since purchased I have added a 50" tiller and 6' grader blade to the arsenal, none of which faze the tractor. For dirt work I would definitly recommend R4's or even better R1 ag tires (loaded) as the tractor is somewhat light. 4WD would be a real plus! I currently have about 740 hrs. on it and they haven't been easy either!! A real good tractor for the price

Date Purchased: 6/1998
Purchased: Used
Price Paid: US$9100
Pros:
Nice size for mowing and fairly heavy yard work.Comfortable seating, and control placement. Lots of power, excellent running.
Cons: No foldable ROPS, a little light on 3PH lift capacity (815# @24" from CL)
Rating:
