Posted 01/13/2002Bought for maintenance of 11 acre horse farm. Only regret is no live PTO (didn't know what one was when purchased).
Uses 5 ft bushhog with power to spare through thick brush, 7foot back blade for grading, arena maintenance, and snowplowing. Will spin tires (not loaded) before stalling engine.
Block heater shorted out in first season, replaced under warranty, took 10 minutes to fix. No other warranty items and all basic maintenance is easy for a do it yourselfer.
Haven't had the loader off yet so can't comment on ease. Top link was a little anemic, bought a heavier duty one that works much better. Fold down rops was not an option and that would have been a plus.
Power is adequate, easy starting in cold weather with or without block heater.
Need to have rear wheels at wides setting for any kind of stability on slopes. They come at narrow setting for shipping and you need to change, pretty simple and straightforward.
All in all an excellent basic tractor at reasonable cost
