Posted 01/21/2002I bought my first John Deere after owning a Yanmar YM226. I figured that Yanmar was building part of the Deere tractor and if they were involved the product must be as durable as my "ole" Yanmar. The first week was the pits, I discovered several broken pieces of plastic cowling on my new tractor, the dealer had no explanation for the breaks but they quickly replaced them to my satisfaction. After a couple of times out on the new tractor I really started to appreciate it. The front wheel assist is an absolute marvel, no more tire chains to plow snow.Mowing is a pleasure and raking hay is an event to look forward to.I hate to admit it being brought up on red iron, this little Deere is nice. My son just bought his first house with some acres and I just picked him up a real nice 655 hydro from the dealer that I bought my new one from.To close "nothing runs like a Deere".
