Posted 01/31/2002I started out in '88 with an 850,nice tractor but it lacked power steering and heft for traction. Also, the front tires were too small and wore out too soon. Hence my decision to buy the 5210 this time, these were both fwd's by the way. The 3 cyl. JD has all the power any sane individual could want from idle all the way up to p.t.o. speed. It has one finger steering capability and traction enough to tackle any situation one might run into. The bucket hydrolics are slower than the yuppie tractors, but they are usefully powerful. My only real complaint was the lack of a power reverser, so I corrected that problem by selling the 5210 and ordered a 5320 with the power reverser which should be here in several weeks. I got the isolated station this time so as to have a flat deck AND A CUP HOLDER, seems though there may be some yuppie in me after all! JD is worth my money!
Date Purchased: 9/1999

Pros: Power, torque, traction, resalability, and the reliability to run and run with basic maintainance!
Cons: You pay for the green paint! The bigger the tractor, the bigger the attatchment costs!
