I initially purchased this machine for us as a landscaping tractor, but routinely find myself using it for a bulldozer. I was impressed with the fact that it was almost entirely manuafactured by Mitsubishi (and not MTD). This tractor will move boulders and pull out small stumps with relative ease. I used it in conjunction with a Farmi winch to clear my house lot. I had no problems skidding out tree-length oaks (approx 12" dia.). It is very comfortable to operate and is very fuel efficient. The hydraulics are strong and the steering is quick and snappy. It is easy to maintain.
Overall, I enjoy this tractor very much and would purchase another in an instant. The only drawbacks I can see are: 1). relatively weak standard battery, 2). apparently low resale (but you're buying it for life probably, so who cares?) and 3). fuel system is not self bleeding (don't run it out of fuel). Bleeding it though is relatively simple. The only reason I would not give this machine a "5" is that the 3PH arms are not telescoping and the sway bars are chain and turnbuckles instead of actual "bars"
Date Purchased: 7/1999
Purchased: New
Price Paid: US$15200
Pros: very dependable, fuel efficient, relatively inexpensive to purchase
Cons: standard battery wasn't strong enough for Maine winters. Replaced with NAPA battery.
