That's more power than the 7.3L Powerstroke had just a short time ago. I'm not arguing with the facts, just saying how much power do you really need in a 1/2 ton, especially with diesel torque characteristics? This sounds like a useful setup for a 3/4 or even a 1-ton. I had a small diesel for two years (Jeep CRD, 2.8L, 160hp/295ft-lbs) and the engine in it would have served a 1/2 ton pickup just fine. Boost it to about 200hp/350ft-lbs and it would feel just as good as most of the V8 options in 1/2 tons.
