Default Re: Buying new tractor: Have many questions

dlearyfun,
I am not trying to change your mind as the 30 series tractors are very tough machines, and will definately out work the smaller 4110. But the cold starting issue, I believe you are wrong, as in 6 1/2 year selling Mahindra I have never had a 4110 fail to start no matter how cold. The engines in the 30/00/20 series tractors, I always install a block heater as when it gets below 10 degrees you will need it. I admit when you can turn the direct injection over fast enough, they fire and are running smoothly immediately. The indirect injection, on the 4110 doesn't start so smoothly but with the glow plugs it always starts. Also, I am not a small guy, so I know the feeling on the 4110 and I usually install brackets, which I make, that raises the seat 2 inches and sets it back 1 1/2 inches, which makes all the difference in the world. Like I said, I am not trying to change your mind, just stating facts as I know them. Good luck!
Thanks for the info Galen. You are apparently correct on the block heater thing as the 5530 I am looking at when I get back to the dealer the end of the week has a block heater. I will now be taking another long look at the 4110 and should I decide to buy it instead of the 5530 can I buy the seat brackets from you?
