Chuck, if you are in the military, thanks for your service! Wish we knew all that is going on there that is not on the news.

If you are looking at gear tractors, the L3400 is around $16,400, and the BH75 backhoe with a thumb is around $6,800 more or less, on both. The stumps you are looking at will be more stubborn than you think, and more weight in the tractor, and more loader, and backhoe hydraulic power will also be a very good thing. I like the JD 790 a lot, but it is not as strong as the Kubota offerings you are looking at, and is lighter. Also, the shuttle shift on the Kubota, while not a syncro, is much nicer to operate for me, and I would choose that over the 790 for much loader work. Hydro in the L3400 would add another thousand, or so.
