I too use a 30 gallon Poly Drum to get diesel. I put it in the back of my pick up and have never thought about the legality of it. It is an approved fuel container, purchased especially for that purpose. In the 3 years of doing so, I've never been stopped either. But I still don't know if it's legal for transport or not?

Also interesting that Oliver posted fuel was $1.89 gal exactly 3 years ago. Around here it's way more than double that and ON road is $4.69!!! I wish my bank account would increase like that.
