Default Re: do you loan your trailer out

Touch situation. I like to help out friends and family, and usualy give them the benifit of taking care of stuff. If it's not sombody that lives close to me, or somebody that I know really well, then I tell them that I want a deposit to make sure all repairs are paid for. If nothing is damaged, then they get all their money back. Funny thing is that nobody ever agrees to this. They are willing to have me trust them, but not willing to trust me with their cash. It's the funniest thing.

I'm also a contractor and have people work for me from time to time. It's part of the job to have them use my tools and equipment. If it gets damaged, I almost expect it to happen. It's just part of getting the job done and making a living.

My Dad borrows my stuff all the time. He's getting up there in the years and doesn't even realize when he's broke something. It's just something that I live with. He loaned me his stuff when I was a kid and I admit to not taking care of it like I should have. It's just what you do for family.
