Clint/Turtro:

A pull-type blower is mounted on the back but unlike most rear-mounted blowers, you drive forward to blow snow. The advantage is that you don't get a kink in your neck or back, it is less tiring for longer driveways or roads. For those without a cab there is also the advantage of less snow being blown on to you because you are pulling away from the blown snow, not into it. The disadvatages include higher purchase price and losing the ability to back up into a snowbank to clear it as can be done with a regular rear-mount. For short driveways and parking lots, the regular blowers, either front or rear-mount are usually better. A front-mount is really good but it is expensive and you lose the advantage of having the loader during the winter. That is a non-starter for me.
