I have not seen that kind of valve used as a rear AUX valve on a tractor,
but it sure is possible. Can you try the other valve?
The valve that you have described is what came with the factory remotes on my Mahindra 7520. When I bought the 3rd remote and added it on, it also was a 4 position valve, all positions have detents.
