Posts alongside, are the biggest pain in the @rse maintaining a proper slope of the road towards the ditch.... best way is to slope the road directly into the ditch, in other words: slope ditch side, on the roadside, about 30ｰ so people can drive into it without destroying it, and because this prevents formation of ridges alongside the road, that prevent the water to flow into the ditch instead of pond at the road edge.
