Default Re: plowing high grass land

Good Evenin Pcrane2,
Im really not in a great position to be giving plowing advice even though I do own a 2 BTM Dearborn plow, which I have hardly used since rebuilding it last year.

Just a couple of suggestions, and of course I dont know what part of the country you are in but the amount of moisture in the ground is kind of important, too much is not good and to little will really spoil your results !

Also important is the type plow your using and the speed at which you plow to sufficiently turn over your sod and soil !

There are a host of other important info but Im hoping someone like FarmwithJunk will jump on this thread and point you in the right direction !

Good luck with your plowing !

BTW here is a link to the thread I had going last year on my plow refurb, maybe you can get some info from it ! http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/p...=Ferguson+plow
