I used to use all sorts of things and finished of with jewlers rouge. But for the last 20 years, I just hit it a coupla times with the acusharp and go on.. Makes a knife sharper person out of anyone!. I still have the ones I had 15 years ago. I prepare a new edge with the old one and finish off with a newer one. Bought a knock-off at wally world yesterday for 3.50. I'll see how it does..
