I'm kinda middle of the road with the 5400. I use it like a CUT though. When I first got on here I was real confused just where that size falls category wise. Deere only rates the 5400 on the
PTO ( 60HP ) but it seems all the CUT's are engine. A couple of yrs ago I was at the Louisville farm show and was looking at a new NH and I asked the guy what power it was and he quoted a number. I asked engine or
PTO and he said engine of coarse don't know what the
PTO power is. I'm like who ever heard of a tractor rated on the engine and no
PTO rating.I thought it was drawbar and
PTO only. I guess it makes for better sales numbers
I eventually found someone who said the 5400 is about 70HP engine so I can get an apples to apples comparison.
