I have no idea who makes the JD 0w40 oil. But I bought 5 gallons at the end of last year and it will go in the truck and tractor soon. Decided to hold on using the JD oil to finish off some Shell 5w40 oil and to get through the summer.

I will do oil analysis on the oil but the first report what be back until well into next year.

When I get the report I'll mention it on TBN.

I would be shocked if JD's oil is "bad". The price sure got better compared to Shell which is why I decided to try the JD oil.

My expectation is that I might get a bit better mileage and easier starts in the cold.
