First time doing 50 Hr Service on my 2320...
Just called my local JD Dealer located in MA. Asked about how much 50 Hr service would be if I brought tractor to dealer and how much if they came to my house. I was calling them them because I am a "computer guy" and don't have much experience fooling around with these things.
(I take my cars to the dealership for thier OilChanges.). Plus I use my tractor everyday and don't want to risk me taking it apart and not getting it back together because of lack of experience.
If I bring to dealer = $586.65
If they come to my house = $721.65
I was SHOCKED at these prices. (Or am I just being niave??)
I thought she was joking at first. Then I asked how much if I bought the parts to do it myself and she said "I don't know". I said "Thanks, but no thanks" and hung up phone with my mouth open.
Does this price sound nuts?? What is a Ballpark figure on how much the parts, fluids, etc will cost me to do it myself? I am being silly to being "scared" to do it myself?
