I know you didn't ask this question, but I would suggest that you seriously consider a Hydrostatic Transmission (HST). Sort of like an automatic transmission in a car. Especially since this is your first tractor and you have 5 acres.

Essentially gear driven tractors are better at moving "ground engaging implements" like a plow. HST is better at most other things.

For a first tractor on 5 acres, an HST might be a far better choice.
