Part of that is the dealer, seemed like a straight shooter. Quoted a price of $22,304 for the 1540 and FEL. Said he'd move the tires out, fill them with water and deliver for free.

I took her for a test drive and it was hard to tell the engine was even running, so the machine played a big part in the decision as well.

One thorny delimna...........should I go with the option of installing a two spool hydraulic port in the back? What usefull impliments, outside of a post driver, need hydralics? The dealer did about crap himself when I mentioned a post driver, he opined that that particular device is pretty hard on a tractor. I suppose I could toss a shovel and a spud bar in the front bucket and do just as well with an augur. What's a decent augur run?

Anyone with any experience or opinions on any of this, feel free to chime in.

Get the remotes installed now, you won't regret it. Things like a 3 PT log splitter require them. And many others like a round baler, or haybine also require them.
