Default Re: FarmTrac Troubles

ran across a SEC litigation release dated dec 22,2008, it seems Fiat/Case -New Holland Global got caught paying Saddam Hussien's agents kickbacks in the Oil For Food scheme. Yes the same thing that Textron was involved in.so the big T is not the only one with dirty little secrets. it just proves that these guys will do anything for money, even if it hurts their country or their dealers.so dealers of all brands best be aware that when things get tight for these guys, you are expendable in their veiw, they will hang you out to dry.
once they get you to trust their word and sign on the dotted line, they have you where they want you.you in effect become their customer, you have bought yourself some tractors and if you are unable to sell them, well thats too bad, maybe you can take up farming or grass cutting, but you can bet they expect YOU to pay the bill and will go to any lengths to see that you do.

The big companies are able to do this ONLY because so many dealers refuse to join together and demand a level playing field.they will tell you they have the right to do this because they are putting up all the money. I say that your facilities and your customer base that you have taken years to develope is more than your fair share of the pot. Things are just too unstable in this world now for dealers to be taking all the risk .Dealers of all brands need to start talking to each other about the issues we all have to contend with.
