I run Mobil 1 0w40 in my 00 Jetta TDI 10000 mi. changes and my 04 MB Sprinter with ASSYST getting 13000 to 15000 mi. some reason they do not require a fleece filter for the Sprinter and the oil tests comes back with more life in it. The tractor I have been using the 5w40 Turbo Diesel oil. I could run 0w40 but I use 5w40 for no good reason other then I believe it would be less questioned in case of a engine failure. Just follow the maintenance schedule and you will be fine. If you get a oil test you will find you could go longer. Since the tractor only holds 2.7 qts.( I use 2.5 so 5 qt. last 2 changes.) I stick with the 100hr. change and not worry about the oil or a fleece filter since it is not available. None of my cars, trucks or tractor use enough oil between changes to add oil. Only the plane does that.
