The part that broke is between the frame rails and is welded into place.
the service manager looked at the same time I did and could see that it had to have been cracked during the manufacturing prosess. you could see a strip of pant then a strip of rust then a bright shinnie strip were it snapped off.
right in the middle if the brush hogging season and this has to happen. just my luck.

Are you out of warranty?? That sucks. Are you going to fix it yourself then?? Once our warranty is up, any/all repairs will be done by us.
