Gee that sounds vaguely familiar !

My manager herded a bunch of the modelmakers in our department together, brought us up to the fourth floor, which was the top floor in our engineering building, and then individually dropped us off at various offices on that floor. I knew immediatedly what was happening soon as we were herded together ! In fact I remember joking with one of the guys I was with on the elevator with, telling him to take it like a man !

Why they just didnt bring us all to HR and tell it like it was, I still havent figured that one out yet ! Instead they brought us up to these engineering managers, and let them give us the bad news ! I drew this women manager , maybe in her 40's, and before she could spit the whole thing out she starts crying ! Im getting layed off and here I am trying to tell her its going to be OK !

The only reason I could come up with of why the company choose this method of telling its employees they are all done is that maybe they are trying to put the fear of God in these people ! Just a guess on my part, but weird just the same !
