I agree with Ray66V, verify that the M1 10W30 is diesel rated. M1 makes a 5W40 oil that is specifically diesel rated.

The only synthetic 5W30 diesel oil I found when I was doing my 50 hour service was Amsoil's HDD 5W30 diesel oil.
