I agree 100%. My box blade weighs about 1100 lbs and when I'm using my loader it is a good counter weight. I also like it for grading the driveway or leveling large areas. The ripper teeth tear up the hard packed gravel or clay and the rear blade levels by filling the low spots and shaving off the high spots.
It also has to be one of the easiest ways to remove several inches of soil easily with a tractor. I used to have a 5' box blade and my neighbor used to borrow it all of the time. He used it behind his 8N Ford and he loved it because he was removing about 1/3 of a cubic yard every pass he made.
