It's for catching antifreeze (half an ounce a day maybe) from the leaking block heater (see a couple posts above) that I haven't had time to deal with yet

Something very satisfying about that throaty rumble. I am glad they put the exhaust there and not down below. The manual says if you can't put the tractor under shelter, then you should cover the exhaust to keep water out. I wonder how many people actually do this?
