I am assuming the pump you are talking about is this log splitter pump,
It says to use a 12 HP engine, although a 9 HP would work for the most part. https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.a...name=hydraulic
22 GPM = 4.3 in per sec
06 GPM = 1.2 in per sec
If you are talking about a non log splitter 22 GPM hydraulic pump, it would take about 45 HP to run it.
