Re: new 6530, emission control lite blinking an update: The light finally went off, and has stayed off so far, after several hours of operation. The mechanic said that the throttle control sensor (located on top of the injector pump; left side of tractor) had a loose wire that apparently was causing the smoking and missing. He re-crimped the wire and all was well. When I first got the tractor back, the light was still blinking. It went off finally after an hour or two; it must have reset itself. I believe the TPS wire was the problem all along. The technical manual isn't that helpful; it has some good diagnostics, but no pictures or part numbers for this part of the tractor (emission control)
Anyway, it seems to be running fine, now; no smoke or coughing. In the meantime I received an email from someone else with the same blinking light problem, so maybe this is a systemic 6530 thing. |
