Glad you didnt burn anything up JC! I've been on vacation up in the Texas hill country, so I havent been on til recently. I made a mistake of my own last summer the day hurricane ike hit here. I needed to move some trees but the battery was dead in the 1700 and there was no power for a week so I couldnt charge it. Took the battery out of the truck and put it in the tractor, got it started, and then hot swapped the dead battery back into the tractor so it would charge (while it was running). Well it didnt like me doing that, at times now the alt wont charge a lower rpms. I need to go through the alt and check the components. Wouldnt normally swap like that, but was in a pinch at the time and I guess I recklessly did it. Im such a bad tractor owner! lol Thanks TB |
