Re: Supressor for 10/22 CB's are a type of short. in fact, they don't have any powder in them at all.
17 grain bullet and primer is all that powers them.
yes, they are very quiet - but they don't have much range and will not cycle the bolt in a 10/22.
as to not shooting shorts in a .22lr receiver -- you can do it, just brush out the chamber real good before loading .22lr in it or they may not seat correctly. (lever and bolt guns often come with S, L,or LR printed on the receiver, so it must be OK to "mix" ammo in them)
