I tried on of the Harbor freight hand held cold saws #8877 I was impressed with what it can do. I have a 14 inch chop saw and it will not get used with this thing around. I cut through 6" wide mild steel bar stock in 40 seconds. It is supposed to cut 1/4 " max but it did so well I tried it on some thicker stuff and it was slower but it cut it.
