No offense to anyone but I don't think many of you really know what a "beater" (truck) is...
At least where I work and play most of the turcks that have been pictured would be considered every day drivers (some even show quality)...
In these parts... true "beaters" are often called firewood trucks and get traded a dozen times or more every season...they are used to haul firewood then traded to the next guy to haul his wood etc...etc...(no titles needed for old vehicles here)
I just traded a 79 Chevy 1/2 ton that had over 300k miles...but one vehicle I have held onto is an '82' American (Motors) Eagle wagon...
4WD...I have used this wagon much the way "beaters" are used... I've hauled gravel, stone for masonry,firewood, pulled stumps...you name it...also used it to do many of the things I now do with a tractor...I have had to pull more 3/4 ton 4x4's out of the mud and holes than I can count...the wagon will "go in the snow" it weighs over 3500#s
