I have a BCS 725, 8hp Kolher. Love it for what it is, but my most common use is the power barrow. It is just a little slow in the push mode. I have another older 725 transmission, fairly complete except no motor. Would it be possible/practical to reverse the gears in the old one to get the push gearing the fast direction? Similar to a 852 vs 853. Getting the motor doesn't seem to be much of an issue.

They made a reversed 715. It was called the 602. The reversed 735 was the 604. I would love to find a 604 myself, but not many were sold here. The 602 and 604 were front mount attachment only. The handlebars could not be reversed.

Take a look at the parts breakdown for each and see if it'd be worth the effort.
