Hi ! Two weeks ago. I finnish mowing and come back at home. Bang! The PTO lever quit the U stand and go in and turn around the wheeel. result A rod PTO lever bend and the shift lever bent. I was lucky the PTO fork in trans was ok.

The BCS lever system for gears and PTO are very fast for change but not very safe . The lever rod can quit and go in wheels with front implement. Can need expensive repair.

I add a device for hold the lever rod . Easy and inexpensive to make. I use 1/16 x 1 in. steel plate about 5 in.

Good luck !Oldmech

Oldmech, you have created a good design. You are correct regarding the BCS transmission shift and PTO links being very fast for change but easy to jump out of the plastic bracket.

Oldmech, that is a great idea. Just had to straighten my shift lever, not the first time. That little strip of metal should solve the problem on my 850.
Thanks
