Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System - Order Online!
I just replaced a TSC Quick Hitch with Pat's Easy Change and would make these comments. Yes - the instructions leave a lot to be desired. The four screw/nut combinations for each side allow some change of angle so that you can adjust it to be more perpendicular to the link pins. This is important. Pat's works better if your attachments have various distance between pins. I had to take the TSC unit off for two of my tools and it fit fine for 4. With Pat's I can pick up everything but you do need something to keep the lift arms seperated until you can pick up the tool. I made a gismo with 2 pieces of pvc tubing that allows one to slide into the other, with a pin so that they can be set at several (predetermined) widths. I use this only until I am locked on to the tool, then pull the pin, slide the 2 pieces together and remove it. Its pretty rinky-dink, but works fine, and cost about $1.00. If the Quick Hitch unit will fit all of your tools (???) I think that it is a better choice and I have one for sale with 8 pin adapters. If not, Pat's is the only real economical choice, is very versitile, and I am very happy with it.
