Here's a little experiment for you guy's to try..
Start.. whole bean coffee.. grind fine.
Pour into a coffee filter.. tie off w/ twisty tie.. it's like a tea bag.
Bring a pot of water to boil.. throw in "coffee bag".
The length of time and the amount of water.. will det. coffee strength. I like mine strong.. so I squish the bag w/ a spoon.
I've found this will make one of the best and smoothest cups of coffee. Plus.. you can make coffee on the woodstove or fire when the lights go out.. or if you find you didn't bring the coffee pot w/ you. )</font>
Funny you should mention that. My wife discovered the coffee pods yield a pretty good cup if you treat em like a tea bag!
