Upgraded seat in JD5300?
I'm looking at a JD5300 as a possible purchase along with a few other possible candidates. One thing I dislike about the 5300 is the seat. It's a POS for a cab tractor.
Can it be upgraded EASILY? Not some mickey-mouse setup from JC Whitney. I mean a real JD seat that bolts in without a hassle (like welding, etc) that has armrests and some sort of suspension system? Anyone know how spendy it will be?
JOHN deere 5300 For Sale at TractorHouse.com
Thanks

I took a quick look on JD's parts site, looks like prices range from $685 to $800 for complete seat assemblies for the 5300 series. The yellow seat is the cheapest, black the most expensive. Black may be cloth?

You have to register on the JD website to get parts prices, must select a dealer, it will then give list price and inventory on hand at that dealer.
